Ghost Busters in the New York Library

Posted by Matthew Berman On May - 18 - 2010

I love when people get creative like this. A group of improv actors got together and did a funny Ghost Busters tribute in New York’s public library. Although it looks distracting to people trying to get work done, it was all done in good fun and people seemed to enjoy it. Check it out:

What Up With That SNL Skit

Posted by Matthew Berman On April - 2 - 2010

This is one of the best new SNL skits there is. So funny. What up with that features Kenan Thompson from old school shows like All That. He plays a hilarious show host who can’t seem to start the show without singing his introduction music. The skit has an ’90s feel to it because of the dancers in the background and Kenny G look a like. Check it out:

Flip Mino HD

I recently received a Flip MinoHD hand held camera to review, and let me tell you, I haven’t left my apartment without it in over a week. I’m usually not one to bring a camera out with me to dinner or the bars, but this thing really does a killer job. The quality, although not true 1080P HD quality, is amazing when compared to a digital camera or your cell phone. It’s super compact, fits in your pocket and looks really sleek.

My only complaint is the unusually small screen. Instead of having a tiny screen and a set of buttons below, it would have been awesome to have a touch screen that took up the entire side of the camera. Below is a video I took during pre-game warm-ups for college basketball game. Sorry for the shakiness, I guess I should have bought a mini tri-pod!

Specs:
4GB Internal Memory, records 60 minutes of HD quality video
1.5” Screen
Customizable (which is really cool)
MSRP: $229

The Office Episode – Frame Toby (Toby Returns)

Posted by Matthew Berman On November - 21 - 2008

The Office is probably my favorite show on television right now. I’ve been watching since the very first episode and think Steve Carell is a genius. Since I have had a writers block for some time now, I figure why not post another great Office episode. This is the one that aired last night, where Toby comes back from his vacation. The opening scene is definitely my favorite part of the episode. Check it out:

Nintendo Sixty FOOOOOUUUURRRRR!!!!

Posted by Matthew Berman On October - 14 - 2008

I remember when I first got the Nintendo 64. I was so excited I couldn’t even comprehend what I was getting myself into. The first time I turned it on I was in awe over the 3D graphics, which were pretty much the first of its’ kind. Although I was excited, I wasn’t quite as excited as this kid:

This was last week’s new episode of Family Guy and I don’t remember laughing this hard at Family Guy in a while. This is exactly why I love Hulu, 5 seconds of commercials with video on demand. The bird is definitely the word.

EDIT: Hulu removed the video so here is the best part of the episode from youtube.

Google Calender April Fool’s Joke?

Posted by Matthew Berman On April - 1 - 2008

I was just adding a couple entries into Google Calender and found something that I believe is an April Fool’s joke. There is now a button when adding an event that says “I’m Feeling Lucky.” This is just like the button on the Google.com homepage.

I don’t remember ever seeing this button there before, so immediately I thought “April Fools” and clicked the button. Clicking “I’m Feeling Lucky” entered an event into my calender. Here are some examples of the “lucky” events added:

All of the events were dates with famous people. Not Google’s best prank, but funny none-the-less.

YouTube Ad Targeting at its Best – RickRoll

Posted by Matthew Berman On March - 26 - 2008

As I was watching this music video for about the 10th time in 2 days, I saw Google’s ad targeting on YouTube at its best. You’ve been RickRoll’d!
