Tried to uninstall everything and used jv16 to remove everything from the registry. Increasing volume in creative SB audigy 2 Realtek ALC-892 or SB Audigy 2 zs Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS SB Audigy 2 Value vs. The Audigy2 can *output* Dolby Digital from DD sources (like DVD movies, SACDs, etc.), but cannot *encode* Dolby Digital from non-DD multichannel sources (like video games, for instance). The speakers worked with my old PC and the sound card works with cheap desk top speakers so I do not believe there is a problem with the hardware.

All I saw when I was looking at it was the extra software. So it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall xp pro. Are they not compatible after all? Here is a link to what I did.
