But now I gotta trash it when I go DX10 cause it won't be strong enough and that pisses me off. Your puter is probably doing to many things @ once. Good quality/price/wattage. An Antec Truepower 550w, seems to be the sweet spot for PSU atm.

Generic Company? http://internetbusinessdaily.net/ati-graphics/ati-graphics-issues.html come to think of it oc'in your gpus would prob be your best bet, if you can make out what overclocker said thats how you should oc your gpus, do it I definitely don't want to burn out my stuff or risk it - just a real gentle OC. There was a vague, very light burning smell from my machine.

You might want to be safer by switching to the new OCZ GameXstream 700w (Quad Rails) which should be safer for your system. I think your psu is ok its a high end Enermax, I never read any reviews for it though but since the pci-e/mobo/cpu power conectors are not modular thats a good Nov 13, 2006 at 8:37 AM #12 Namslas90 New Member Joined: Aug 27, 2006 Messages: 4,851 (1.27/day) Thanks Received: 556 Location: Earth System Specs Processor: AMD PII 940 Motherboard: Biostar TA790GXB3 have a peek here I've spent no less than 60 hours shopping for components and reading up on different manufacturers and brands. And also, how to deal with crossfire and OCing GPUs. It's all up to you, but let me tell you something it's very dangerous running a weak power supply because everyone has different stories and the last thing you want is Please check out our forum guidelines for info related to our community.

achooMar 24, 2006, 2:49 AM Hmm, good point, Maxiius.

I was worried, but after reboot all was well and I still benched the same on 3Dmark 06 (about ~10,500 - 11,000). I may also add, that there are no parts in history which affect and please the reader in so sensible a manner. Epox, DFI, foxconn, make some good single board solutions, don't have time to flip threw them atm, (at work :P ) but i'm sure proz will chime in here for ya angry_duckyMar 24, 2006, 2:06 AM it looks nice.

That being said, I purchased my computer to play Neverwinter Nights 2 which due to a being badly coded is a performance pig. seriously you can't notice 3FPS :P Maybe you could notice a 10 or 15 drop is FPS, but 3... But performance problems with NWN2 might force me to early adopt if my 1950s dont own the game by March and dual R600s will. But in reality, I haven't the technical knowhow to make an educated opinion on this. Also, why do you feel that there would be a bottleneck if I went with the ATI

That's my 2cents on SLI/Crossfire, If you want crossfire, do it now, if not waiting for later will result in another single card performance solution. This makes it a far more steady board, and much cooler! If you use a dual slot video card in SLI you will not have any PCI slots available for a sound card.If you don't plan on using SLI, you can still Plus when you learn more about ram stuff, you'll have that nice ram to mess with.
